Verifying Accuracy

At the core of the RFID system is the promise of speed and accuracy. Speed is quite easy to determine by comparing the time it takes to perform inventory audits & other tasks vs. what it used to take. Accuracy is everything, because speed doesn't matter if in the end the numbers aren't accurate.

We empower you to audit your numbers and determine how accurate they are. You should reliably be able to get to between 97-99% accuracy. But how do you determine that?

1. Do you have a another system to compare the scans to?

If the answer is yes, this will give us a reference point to start to determine accuracy. You can't just tag items and scan, because you don't know if the scans are capturing everything, or if items are still being missed. The reality is that your reference point may not be accurate, but this will at least provide an initial target.

If you don't have a reference point then you will want to compare against previous scans. To do this you can audit items. If your inventory is static, such as a user managing assets, then you should see nothing move to Absent after each audit. If however you have items leaving your inventory, you can compare this change against the Absent list.
