Printronix: TH240 and TH340 Manual Calibration (Media & Ribbon and RFID)

The following steps outline the process of performing a manual calibration from the TH model printer

Prior to starting the calibration process the printer must be powered on, and be loaded with labels & ribbon. Please review the printer setup videos for clarification on the setup process.

Please perform the media & ribbon calibration first.

Media & Ribbon Calibration

During the Media & Ribbon calibration the printer identifies the size of the gaps between labels to ensure that the labels print consistently.

Please perform this calibration first.

From the home menu click:

  • Menu
  • Sensor
  • Preprint Calibration
    • Choose "Gap" for stickers
    • Choose "Black Mark" for paper hang-tags

A pop-up window will appear showing "Information Calibrating", and labels will be ejected from the printer.

RFID Calibration

The RFID calibration process allows the printer to determine the optimal read and write power settings for the labels loaded into the printer.

  • Click Interface
  • RFID
  • Tag Calibration
  • RFID Calibrate

A pop-up window will appear showing "RFID Calibrate" and "Calibration Progressing", and labels will be ejected from the printer.

Please follow these steps if you experience any printer issues including shifting, VOIDS, and skipping labels.
