Common terms in Simple RFID

Audit

In Simple RFID, an Audit is the action of resetting your Verified inventory to 0, to allow a full recount. When you audit, all Verified tags are moved to Absent, where they won't be counted towards your total anymore.

Verified

Verified is an inventory status that contains all tags that are currently in your inventory, that haven't been marked Absent or Archived. This represents your current physical inventory. Any time a tag is scanned and uploaded in a regular scan, it's placed in Verified status.

Absent

Absent is an inventory status for tags that have previously been Verified, but have been marked absent since the last time they were scanned (usually by an Audit). These tags remain in Absent until they are Archived, or scanned again and Verified.

Archived

Archived is an inventory status for tags that have been explicitly excluded from your inventory. This can be done with an Archive scan, or by manually Archiving items from Absent status in the web portal. When a tag is Archived, it will still show up in scans if it's detected, but it will not be included in your Verified inventory unless you explicitly choose to do so when uploading the scan. This is useful for damaged or otherwise unsellable items, that you don't want included in your inventory.

Active/Inactive

When a product is created or imported to Simple RFID, it is Active by default, meaning it will be included in Inventory operations. Products can be marked Inactive manually from the web portal, or they may be automatically marked Inactive if the same action is taken in Shopify. If a product is marked Inactive, it will show up as such in inventory scans, and won't be included in Verified inventory, or other operations such as syncing inventory to Shopify.
