# Increase Max Reader Power & Set Reader Sensitivity to Far

##### ****Prerequisites**** 

- Pair the RFID reader
- Navigate to the Scan View

##### ****Scan View****

- Click on the Reader Connection icon (shows Bluetooth connection and Battery Power Percentage)
- Click on the Reader Connection button

##### ****Connected Devices****

- <span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">From the Connected Devices page, click on the Reader Settings icon </span>

##### ****Reader Settings**** 

- Under the "Far" option, set the Reader power to 30 dBm using the right arrow
- Return back to the Scan View
- <span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Ensure that the reader is set to </span>****Far****<span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> range</span>
