Shopify Specific Features The following book outlines features available to Shopify users. Shopify Product Import: Resolving Import Issues Simple RFID requires a unique value from the partner system be available to map data. This unique value can be either a SKU or Barcode. Previously there was no easy way to identify product import issues, or fix them. This new feature seeks to enable users to quickly identify and resolve these import errors themselves. Enable New Portal (beta) First, to see the new Product import page you must request to enable New Portal (beta) via the Customer Profile > Shopify Settings. This must be completed from the Simple RFID team. Once enabled the Products tab will be changed and will include a "platform" drop-down (Shopify). Locate Import Errors The products tab contains a list of all products which exist in YOUR Shopify catalog, regardless of if they have officially been created in Simple RFID, since Simple RFID requires a unique value to be assigned to each product (can be either SKU or Barcode) to be created. This unique value must be unique for each variant created. The two most common reasons variants fail to import are: The Variants SKU or Barcode is duplicated (shared with 2 or more) The Variant is missing a SKU or Barcode Use the "All Import Statuses" filter to view the errors and filter the desired option. The two most common reasons appear at the top. Hover over the Import Status flag to see required action. Click on the Shopify icon on the far right to open in Shopify and make the necessary changes. Inside Shopify If Missing Value If the variant is missing a required value (SKU or Barcode): Click the Shopify icon hyperlink to open the associated product. From inside Shopify add the missing SKU or Barcode. Click Save. Result: the product is imported and ready for use. If Duplicate SKU If the variant is a duplicate of another SKU or Barcode in your Shopify account: Hover over the Import Status to see the required action. Click the Shopify icon hyperlink to open the associated product. Copy the SKU or Barcode (whichever is duplicated) Search that SKU or Barcode in Shopify Locate the variant you wish to change the SKU or Barcode, then update it so that it is not a duplicate. Click Save. Result: the product is imported and ready for use. Shopify Inventory Page The new Shopify Inventory page provides the user with the ability to compare their RFID counts against their expected, print, start audits, and sync to Shopify. Configure the Inventory Page to see what matters to you: Type, Tags, Collections & Categories When you first access this page you'll want to customize the columns and order to ensure that the page contains the most important properties. For example, do you flag your products with Type, Tags, Collections, or Categories in Shopify? If so, you can use these filters to capture only the variants you wish. To do this click on the settings icon in the far right corner: This will expand a pop-out menu which will allow you to choose the properties that you wish to be visible, then drag them to the position you wish to have them: Inventory Page This page provides visibility to the current RFID verified count, and the current Shopify on hand qty. View Tag Level Properties Click on the RFID count too view the EPCs associated with the tag(s). Order Management: Keeping Items Synced Orders fulfilled after the fulfillment date are counted against the last count, unless the orders are explicitly removed such as via an Sales Order verification scan, or via the Simple RFID POS integration. This helps keep SKUs in Match status longer, so as to not immediately show an SKU as mismatch simply because a sale occurred, and we don't know the exact serialized tag. Audit, Print and Sync When an audit is created and opened it will appear in the Last Audit column and will display the current audit count. When the audit is closed it will show a freshness marker, and if there is a resolution in progress it will appear under the Resolution column. Start Audit from this page 1. Click the variant(s) you wish to include in the audit 2. Click the Audit icon at the top 3. The selected variants will be added to a Draft audit Print from this page 1. Click the variant(s) you wish to include in the print job 2. Click on the Printing icon 3. The selected variants will be added to the print job creation screen. Sync from this page 1. From the pop-up choose the items to sync Shopify Inventory Transfers How to automate transferring of inventory between two Shopify locations. Since RFID tags are all unique, by simply scanning your inventory to a new location, the system automatically removes the items from the origin and adds them to the destination. You can automate these inventory updates of the origin and destination by enabling the "Auto-apply" setting. This page has been added to Portal as we plan to deprecate the Shopify plugin.
